LCD Smartie DNBridge Update Guide

Introduction

LCD Smartie is a great utility for displaying information on a VFD display.  Included with LCD Smartie is a Dynamic Link Library called DNBridge.dll which allows Smartie plugins to be written using Microsoft .NET.  There is a small problem with the standard release of this DLL which means that ANSI characters above 127 are not translated properly and cannot be displayed.  This patched version of DNBridge performs a conversion when calling .NET plugins and when retrieving the results.

Installation

Download the DNBridge package from Axcis Pty Ltd, expand the zip file into a temporary directory and replace the DNBridge.dll file in the Smartie directory with the extracted file.  The full source code is also available.
